Junior
Chamber International, short title as JCI. JCI started
in the United States in 1916 and became an international
association in 1946, just a year after the Second World
War. With the ROTARY CLUB, LIONS CLUB and KIWANIS, named
as the world largest four international constitutions.
JCI is not only an internat-ional junior constitution,
but also a constitution that try to find the human kindness
and peace. JCI had already become the world largest junior
constitution with many branches all over the world and
until now JCI still set up new branch each year. JCI got
91 clubs, 8,571 chapters with nearly 350,000 member; Using
four kinds of languages which are French, Spanish, English
and Japanese; Holding world conference and local meeting
(Asia Pacific Conference) each year.
JCI is formed by a group of young people under 40 years
old, through "Personal, Society, Business commercial,
International", the 4 great opportunities' activities,
to
participate and to learn within it in order to reach
the foundation of "practicing oneself and to serve
the community". The first JC in Taiwan was set
in 1953; it was the first international civil constitution,
with over 50 years history. JC constitution set all
over Taiwan, there is over 200 branches with 12,000
members and it is now the sixth largest JC in the world.
Foundation of JC --
The foundation of the JC is to develop the intelligent
of the junior and combing the power from the aspiring
junior, to promote human life, social economic and spiritual
civilization.
1. To edify all citizens to responsible for their own
responsibilities.
2. To develop and to build the leading potential of
the junior with the
work in the constitution.
3. To practice oneself and to enrich the society by
participating in
planning and working in the constitution.
4. To encourage economic.
5. To encourage understanding, friendship and co-operation
of the
human.
The Goal of JC --
Provide an opportunity for the junior to develop their
social responsibility and leading ability Build up the
relationship between members in order to encourage world
